Highlights of the 2009-2010 Season:
Suzuki workshops:

In keeping with our training programme for young apprentices, BNSO sent 5 students to the Suzuki workshop in Florida, held 6th through the 8th, November 2009. In January, Mr. Martin Goldman, president of the SUZUKI violin association of South Florida visited Nassau to discuss future training for our young violinists. He also gave individual lessons and group lessons throughout the week-end.

In march, BNSO sent 7 apprentices to the March 19-21 Suzuki Workshop, in Florida. 
BNSO Participation to Concerts:

Members of the orchestra participated in several other Christmas programmes assisting where there was a need for strings and/or other instrumentalists who are well trained to be able to perform with only a couple of rehearsals.

?     December 13. Members drawn from all sections of the orchestra performed with the Ebenezer Church Choir in their Christmas concert.

?     December 5. BNSO members performed at the St. Andrews Kirk with the Seventh Day Adventist Men’s Chorale.

?     November 28-29. BNSO members performed at the St. Andrews Kirk for Christmastide 2009 under the patronage of the Governor General, the Honorable Arthur D. Hanna.
